atha khalu bhagavān punarapyāyuṣmantaṃ subhūtimāmantrayate sma-iha subhūte bodhisattvena mahāsattvena adhyāśayasaṃprasthitena anuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃboddhukāmena ādita evaṃ kalyāṇamitrāṇi sevitavyāni bhaktavyāni paryupāsitavyāni| subhūtirāha-katamāni tāni punarbhagavan bodhisattvasya mahāsattvasya kalyāṇamitrāṇi veditavyāni, yāni bodhisattvena mahāsattvena adhyāśayasaṃprasthitena anuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃboddhukāmena ādita eva kalyāṇamitrāṇi sevitavyāni bhaktavyāni paryupāsitavyāni? evamukte bhagavānāyuṣmantaṃ subhūtimetadavocat-buddhā eva subhūte bhagavantaḥ, ye ca te'vinivartanīyā bodhisattvā mahāsattvā bodhisattvacaryākuśalāḥ, ya enaṃ pāramitāsvavavadanti anuśāsati, ye'smai prajñāpāramitāṃ deśayantyupadiśanti| imāni tāni subhūte bodhisattvasya mahāsattvasya kalyāṇamitrāṇi veditavyāni|



prajñāpāramitaiva subhūte bodhisattvasya mahāsattvasya kalyāṇamitraṃ veditavyam| sarvā eva ca subhūte ṣaṭ pāramitā bodhisattvasya mahāsattvasya kalyāṇamitrāṇi veditavyāni| ṣaḍeva pāramitāḥ śāstā, ṣaṭ pāramitā mārgaḥ, ṣaṭ pāramitā ālokaḥ, ṣaṭ pāramitā ulkā, ṣaṭ pāramitāḥ avabhāsaḥ, ṣaṭ pāramitāstrāṇam, ṣaṭ pāramitāḥ śaraṇam, ṣaṭ pāramitā layanam, ṣaṭ pāramitāḥ parāyaṇam, ṣaṭ pāramitāḥ dvīpaḥ, ṣaṭ pāramitā mātā, ṣaṭ pāramitāḥ pitā, ṣaṭ pāramitā jñānāya bodhāya anuttarāyai samyaksaṃbodhaye saṃvartante| tatkasya hetoḥ? atra hi subhūte prajñāpāramitā pariniṣṭhitā bhavati yaduta ṣaṭpāramitāsu| ye'pi te subhūte atīte'dhvani tathāgatā arhantaḥ samyaksaṃbuddhā anuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃbudhya parinirvṛtāḥ, teṣāmapi buddhānāṃ bhagavatāmitonirjātaiva sarvajñatā, yaduta ṣaḍbhyaḥ pāramitābhyaḥ| ye'pi te subhūte bhaviṣyantyanāgate'dhvani tathāgatā arhantaḥ samyaksaṃbuddhā anuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃbhotsyante, teṣāmapi buddhānāṃ bhagavatāmitonirjātaiva sarvajñatā, yaduta ṣaḍbhyaḥ pāramitābhyaḥ| ye'pi te subhūte aprameyeṣvasaṃkhyeyeṣvaparimāṇeṣvacintyeṣu lokadhātuṣu tathāgatā arhantaḥ samyaksaṃbuddhā etarhyanuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃbuddhāstiṣṭhanti, dhriyante, yāpayanti, dharmaṃ ca deśayanti, teṣāmapi buddhānāṃ bhagavatāmitonirjātaiva sarvajñatā, yaduta ṣaḍbhyaḥ pāramitābhyaḥ|



ahamapi subhūte tathāgato'rhan samyaksaṃbuddha etarhyanuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃbuddhaḥ| mamāpi hi subhūte itonirjātaiva sarvajñatā, yaduta ṣaḍbhyaḥ pāramitābhyaḥ| tatkasya hetoḥ? āsu hi subhūte ṣaṭsu pāramitāsu saptatriṃśadbodhipakṣā dharmā antargatāḥ, catvāro brahmavihārāḥ, catvāpi saṃgrahavastūni| yāvāṃśca kaścidbuddhadharmo buddhajñānaṃ svayaṃbhūjñānamacintyajñānamatulyajñānamaprameyajñānamasaṃkhyeyajñānamasamajñānamasamasamajñānaṃ sarvajñajñānam, sarvaṃ tat ṣaṭsu pāramitāsvantargatam| tasmāttarhi subhūte bodhisattvasya mahāsattvasya ṣaṭ pāramitā eva kalyāṇamitrāṇi veditavyāni, ṣaḍeva pāramitāḥ śāstā, ṣaṭ pāramitā mārgaḥ, ṣaṭ pāramitā ālokaḥ, ṣaṭ pāramitā ulkā, ṣaṭ pāramitā avabhāsaḥ, ṣaṭ pāramitāstrāṇam, ṣaṭ pāramitāḥ śaraṇam, ṣaṭ pāramitā layanam, ṣaṭ pāramitāḥ parāyaṇam, ṣaṭ pāramitā dvīpaḥ, ṣaṭ pāramitā mātā, ṣaṭ pāramitāḥ pitā, ṣaṭ pāramitā jñānāya bodhāya sarvajñatāyai anuttarasamyaksaṃbodhiprāptaye saṃvartante| sarvasattvānāmapratyupakāriṇāmapi upakāribhūto bhavati, yadā bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ ṣaṭpāramitāsu śikṣate|



āsu khalu punaḥ subhūte ṣaṭsu pāramitāsu śikṣitukāmena bodhisattvena mahāsattvena iyameva prajñāpāramitā śrotavyā udgrahītavyā dhārayitavyā vācayitavyā paryavāptavyā pravartayitavyā deśayitavyā upadeṣṭavyā uddeṣṭavyā svādhyātavyā, arthataśca dharmataśca nayataścopaparīkṣitavyā upanidhyātavyā paripraṣṭavyā paripraśnayitavyā| tatkasya hetoḥ? eṣā hi prajñāpāramitā ṣaṇṇāṃ pāramitānāṃ pūrvaṃgamā nāyikā pariṇāyikā saṃdarśikā avadarśikā janayitrī dhatrī| tatkasya hetoḥ? prajñāpāramitāvirahitā hi pañca pāramitā na prajñāyante, nāpi pāramitānāmadheyaṃ labhante| tasmāttarhi subhūte aparapraṇeyatāṃ gantukāmena bodhisattvena mahāsattvena aparapraṇeyatāyāṃ sthātukāmena ihaiva prajñāpāramitāyāṃ śikṣitavyam||



subhūtirāha-kiṃlakṣaṇā bhagavan prajñāpāramitā? evamukte bhagavānāyuṣmantaṃ subhūtimetadavocat-asaṅgalakṣaṇā subhūte prajñāpāramitā| subhūtirāha-syādbhagavan paryāyo yena paryāyeṇa yenaivāsaṅgalakṣaṇena prajñāpāramitā saṃvidyate, tenaiva asaṅgalakṣaṇena sarvadharmāḥ saṃvidyeran? bhagavānāha-evametatsubhūte, evametat| syātsubhūte paryāyo yena paryāyeṇa yenaiva asaṅgalakṣaṇena prajñāpāramitā saṃvidyate, tenaiva asaṅgalakṣaṇena sarvadharmāḥ saṃvidyante| tatkasya hetoḥ? sarvadharmā hi subhūte viviktāḥ| sarvadharmā hi subhūte śūnyāḥ| tasmāttarhi subhūte yenaiva asaṅgalakṣaṇena prajñāpāramitā viviktā śūnyā, tenaiva asaṅgalakṣaṇena sarvadharmā viviktāḥ śūnyāḥ| subhūtirāha-yadi bhagavan sarvadharmā viviktāḥ, sarvadharmāḥ śūnyāḥ, kathaṃ bhagavan sattvānāṃ saṃkleśaḥ prajñāyate, kathaṃ bhagavan sattvānāṃ vyavadānaṃ prajñāyate? na ca bhagavan viviktaṃ saṃkliśyate, na bhagavan viviktaṃ vyavadāyati| na ca bhagavan śūnyaṃ saṃkliśyate, na ca bhagavan śūnyaṃ vyavadāyati| na ca bhagavan viviktaṃ vā śūnyaṃ vā anuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃbudhyate| anyatrāpi bhagavan śūnyatāyāḥ sarvadharmo nopalabhyate, yo'nuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃbuddho vā, abhisaṃbhotsyate vā, abhisaṃbudhyate vā| kathaṃ vā vayaṃ bhagavan asya bhāṣitasyārthamājānīmaḥ? deśayatu bhagavan, deśayatu sugata| evamukte bhagavānāyuṣmantaṃ subhūtimetadavocat-tatkiṃ manyase dīrgharātraṃ sattvā ahaṃkāre mamakāre caranti? subhūtirāha-evametadbhagavan, evametatsugata|



dīrgharātraṃ sattvā ahaṃkāre mamakāre caranti| bhagavānāha-tatkiṃ manyase subhūte api nu ahaṃkāramamakārau śūnyau? subhūtirāha-śūnyau bhagavan, śūnyau sugata| bhagavānāha-tatkiṃ manyase subhūte ahaṃkāreṇa mamakāreṇa ca sattvāḥ saṃsāre saṃsaranti? subhūtirāha-evametadbhagavan, evametatsugata| ahaṃkāreṇa mamakāreṇa ca sattvāḥ saṃsāre saṃsaranti| bhagavānāha-evaṃ khalu subhūte sattvānāṃ saṃkleśaḥ prajñāyate| yathā sattvānāmudgraho'bhiniveśaḥ, tathā saṃkleśaḥ| na cātra kaścitsaṃkliśyate| yathā ca subhūte anudgaho'nabhiniveśaḥ, tathā nāhaṃkāramamakārau prajñāyete| evaṃ khalu subhūte sarvasattvānāṃ vyavadānaṃ prajñāyate| yathā sattvānāmanudgraho'nabhiniveśaḥ, tathā vyavadānam| na cātra kaścidvyavadāyati| evaṃ khalu subhūte caran bodhisattvo mahāsattvaścarati prajñāpāramitāyām| evaṃ khalu subhūte sarvadharmeṣu vivikteṣu sarvadharmeṣu śūnyeṣu sattvānāṃ saṃkleśo vyavadānaṃ ca prajñāyate| subhūtirāha-āścaryaṃ bhagavan yāvadyadidaṃ sarvadharmeṣu vivikteṣu sarvadharmeṣu śūnyeṣu sattvānāṃ saṃkleśo vyavadānaṃ ca prajñāyate| evaṃ ca bhagavaṃścaran bodhisattvo mahāsattvaścarati prajñāpāramitāyām| evaṃ hi caran bodhisattvo mahāsattvo na rūpe carati, na vedanāyāṃ na saṃjñāyāṃ na saṃskāreṣu, na vijñāne carati| evaṃ caran bhagavan bodhisattvo mahāsattvo'navamardanīyo bhavati sadevamānuṣāsureṇa lokena| evaṃ caran bhagavan bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ sarveṣāṃ śrāvakayānikānāṃ pratyekabuddhayānikānāṃ ca pudgalānāṃ caryāmabhibhavati, anabhibhūtaṃ ca sthānaṃ pratilabhate| tatkasya hetoḥ? anabhibhūtaṃ hi bhagavan buddhatvaṃ tathāgatatvaṃ svayaṃbhūtvaṃ sarvajñatvam| anenāpi bhagavan manasikāreṇa prajñāpāramitāpratisaṃyuktena vihāreṇa viharan bodhisattvo mahāsattvo rātriṃdinānyatināmayet, āsannaḥ syādanuttarāyāḥ samyaksaṃbodheḥ, kṣipraṃ cānuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃbudhyeta|



evamukte bhagavānāyuṣmantaṃ subhūtimetadavocat-evametatsubhūte, evametat| evaṃ caran subhūte bodhisattvo mahāsattvaścarati prajñāpāramitāyām| evaṃ hi caran subhūte bodhisattvo mahāsattvo na rūpe carati, na vedanāyāṃ na saṃjñāyāṃ na saṃskāreṣu, na vijñāne carati| evaṃ caran subhūte bodhisattvo mahāsattvo'navamardanīyo bhavati sadevamānuṣāsureṇa lokena| evaṃ caran subhūte bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ sarveṣāṃ śrāvakayānikānāṃ pratyekabuddhayānikānāṃ ca pudgalānāṃ caryāmabhibhavati, anabhibhūtaṃ ca sthānaṃ pratilabhate| tatkasya hetoḥ? anabhibhūtaṃ hi subhūte buddhatvaṃ tathāgatatvaṃ svayaṃbhūtvaṃ sarvajñatvam| anenāpi subhūte manasikāreṇa prajñāpāramitāpratisaṃyuktena vihāreṇa viharan bodhisattvo mahāsattvo rātriṃdinānyatināmayet, āsannaḥ syādanuttarāyāḥ samyaksaṃbodheḥ, kṣipraṃ ca anuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃbudhyeta||



sacetkhalu punaḥ subhūte ye jambūdvīpe sattvāḥ, te sarve'pūrvācaramaṃ mānuṣyakamātmabhāvaṃ pratilabheran, mānuṣyakamātmabhāvaṃ pratilabhya anuttarāyāṃ samyaksaṃbodhau cittamutpādayeran, anuttarāyāṃ samyaksaṃbodhau cittamutpādya yāvajjīvaṃ tiṣṭheyuḥ, yāvajjīvaṃ tiṣṭhanto yāvajjīvaṃ sarvatathāgatān satkuryurgurukuryurmānayeyuḥ pūjayeyurarcayeyurapacāyeyuḥ, evaṃ sarvasattvebhyo'pi dānaṃ dadyuḥ, tacca dānamanuttarāyāṃ samyaksaṃbodhau pariṇāmayeyuḥ| tatkiṃ manyase subhūte api nu te bodhisattvā mahāsattvāstatonidānaṃ bahu puṇyaṃ prasaveyuḥ? subhūtirāha-bahu bhagavan, bahu sugata| bhagavānāha-ataḥ khalu punaḥ subhūte sa kulaputro vā kuladuhitā vā bahutaraṃ puṇyaṃ prasavati, yo bodhisattvo mahāsattvo'ntataḥ ekadivasamapi prajñāpāramitāpratisaṃyuktairmanasikārairviharati| tatkasya hetoḥ? yathā yathā hi subhūte bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ prajñāpāramitāpratisaṃyuktairmanasikārai rātriṃdivaṃ viharati, tathā tathā sarvasattvānāṃ dakṣiṇīyatāṃ gacchati| tatkasya hetoḥ? tathā hi subhūte nāsti tadanyeṣāṃ sattvānāṃ tādṛśaṃ maitrīsahagataṃ cittam, yathā tasya bodhisattvasya mahāsattvasya, sthāpayitvā buddhān bhagavataḥ| tatkasya hetoḥ? apratipudgalā hi subhūte tathāgatāḥ| nirupamā hi subhūte tathāgatāḥ| acintyadharmasamanvāgatā hi subhūte tathāgatā arhantaḥ samyaksaṃbuddhāḥ||



kathaṃ ca subhūte sa kulaputro vā kuladuhitā vā tāvattatpuṇyamabhinirharati? tādṛśyā subhūte prajñayā samanvāgataḥ sa bodhisattvo mahāsattvo bhavati, yādṛśyā prajñayā samanvāgato vadhyagatāniva sarvasattvān paśyati| tena tasyāṃ velāyāṃ mahākaruṇāparigṛhīto bhavati| sa divyena cakṣuṣā vyavalokayan aprameyānasaṃkhyeyānaparimeyānaparimāṇān sattvānānantaryakarmasamanvāgatān paśyati, akṣaṇaprāptāṃśca vihanyamānāṃśca dṛṣṭijālapraticchannāṃśca mārgamapratilabhamānān| aparāṃśca kṣaṇaprāptān paśyati, kṣaṇāṃśca virāgayataḥ paśyati| tasya tasyāṃ velāyāṃ mahān saṃvega utpadyate| te cāsya sarvasattvāstayā mahāmaitryā tayā ca mahākaruṇayā sphāritvā manasikṛtā bhavanti-ahameteṣāṃ sarveṣāṃ sattvānāṃ nātho bhaviṣyāmi, ahamenān sarvasattvān sarvaduḥkhebhyo mocayiṣyāmīti|



na ca tena vā anyena vā nimittena sārdhaṃ saṃvasati| ayamapi subhūte bodhisattvasya mahāsattvasya mahān prajñāloko'nuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃboddhum| anena hi subhūte vihāreṇa viharanto bodhisattvā mahāsattvāḥ sarvalokasya dakṣiṇīyatāṃ parigṛhṇanti, na ca vivartante'nuttarāyāḥ samyaksaṃbodheḥ| yeṣāṃ ca dāyakānāṃ dānapatīnāṃ ca paribhuñjate cīvarapiṇḍapātaśayanāsanaglānapratyayabhaiṣajyapariṣkārān, asyāṃ prajñāpāramitāyāṃ sūpasthitacittāḥ, teṣāṃ dāyakānāṃ dānapatīnāṃ ca dānadakṣiṇāṃ viśodhayanti| sarvajñatā caiṣāmāsannībhavati| tasmāttarhi subhūte bodhisattvena mahāsattvena amoghaṃ rāṣṭraṃ piṇḍaṃ paribhoktukāmena sarvasattvānāṃ mārgamupadeṣṭukāmena vipulamavabhāsaṃ kartukāmena saṃsāragatān sattvān saṃsārātparimocayitukāmena sarvasattvānāṃ cakṣurviśodhayitukāmena anena prajñāpāramitāpratisaṃyuktena manasikāreṇa vihartavyam|



sacedanena manasikāreṇa vihartumicchati, tena prajñāpāramitāpratisaṃyuktā manasikārāḥ samanvāhartavyāḥ| tatkasya hetoḥ? yo hyenān samanvāhartavyān maṃsyate, sa evāsya manasikāro bhaviṣyati| tato'nyeṣāṃ manasikārāṇāṃ prajñāpāramitāvirahitānāmavakāśo na dātavyaḥ| tathā ca kartavyaṃ yathāyaṃ prajñāpāramitāpratisaṃyuktairmanasikārai rātriṃdivāni kṣapayet| tadyathāpi nāma subhūte kenacideva puruṣeṇa maṇiratnajñāne vartamānena maṇiratnajātijñena apratilabdhapūrvaṃ mahāmaṇiratnaṃ pratilabdhaṃ bhavet| sa tanmahāmaṇiratnaṃ pratilabhya mahatodāreṇa prītiprāmodyena samanvāgato bhavet| tasya tanmahāmaṇiratnaṃ punareva praṇaśyet| sa tatonidānaṃ mahatā duḥkhadaurmanasyena saṃyujyeta| tasya satatasamitaṃ tanmahāmaṇiratnaṃ prati saṃyuktā eva manasikārāḥ pravarteran-aho batāhaṃ tena mahāmaṇiratnena viprayukta iti hi sa puruṣastasya mahāmaṇiratnasya na vismaret yāvat tadvā anyadvā tadguṇaṃ tajjātikaṃ tena mahāmaṇiratnaṃ pratilabdhaṃ bhavet| evameva subhūte bodhisattvena mahāsattvena prajñāpāramitāmahāmaṇiratnaparibhraṣṭena mahāmaṇiratnaparibhraṣṭeneva mahāmaṇiratnena ratnasaṃjñinā prajñāpāramitāmanasikārāviprayuktena prajñāpāramitāmanasikārāvirahitasarvajñatācittena tāvadanveṣṭavyā, yāvatsā vā anyā vā pratilabdhā bhavati| tāvattena prajñāpāramitāmahāmaṇiratnapratilambhapratisaṃyuktairmanasikāraiḥ sarvajñatāmahāmaṇiratnapratilambhapratisaṃyuktairmanasikārairavirahitena bhavitavyam||



subhūtirāha-yatpunarbhagavan sarvadharmāḥ sarvamanasikārāḥ svabhāvena virahitāḥ śūnyā uktā bhagavatā, tatkathaṃ bhagavan bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ prajñāpāramitāpratisaṃyuktairmanasikāraiḥ sarvajñatāpratisaṃyuktairmanasikārairavirahito bhavati? evamukte bhagavānāyuṣmantaṃ subhūtimetadavocat-sacetsubhūte bodhisattvo mahāsattva evaṃ manasi karoti-sarvadharmāḥ svabhāvena viviktāḥ, sarvadharmāḥ svabhāvena śūnyā iti, evametanmanasi kurvan prajñāpāramitāpratisaṃyuktairmanasikāraiḥ sarvajñatāpratisaṃyuktairmanasikārairavirahito bhavati| tatkasya hetoḥ? prajñāpāramitā hi subhūte śūnyā| sā naiva vivardhate, na ca parihīyate| subhūtirāha-sacedbhagavan prajñāpāramitā śūnyā, sā naiva vivardhate na ca parihīyate, kathaṃ bhagavan bodhisattvo mahāsattvo'vivardhamānayā prajñāpāramitayā bodhaye samudāgacchati, kathaṃ ca anuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃbudhyate? evamukte bhagavānāyuṣmantaṃ subhūtimetadavocat-na khalu punaḥ subhūte bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ prajñāpāramitāyāṃ caran vivardhate vā parihīyate vā| yathaiva subhūte prajñāpāramitā śūnyā, sā naiva vivardhate na ca parihīyate, evameva subhūte bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ śūnyaḥ| sa naiva vivardhate, na ca parihīyate| yataḥ subhūte yathaiva prajñāpāramitā śūnyā, sā naiva vivardhate na ca parihīyate, evameva subhūte bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ śūnyaḥ| sa naiva vivardhate, na ca parihīyate| tato bodhisattvo mahāsattvo bodhaye samudāgacchati, evaṃ ca anuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃbudhyate| sacetsubhūte bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ evaṃ bhāṣyamāṇe notrasyati na saṃtrasyati na saṃtrāsamāpadyate na saṃsīdati, veditavyametatsubhūte caratyayaṃ bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ prajñāpāramitāyāmiti||



subhūtirāha-kiṃ punarbhagavan prajñāpāramitā carati prajñāpāramitāyām? bhagavānāhano hīdaṃ subhūte| āha-kiṃ punarbhagavan yā prajñāpāramitāyāḥ śūnyatā, sā carati prajñāpāramitāyām? bhagavānāha-no hīdaṃ subhūte| āha-kiṃ punarbhagavan anyatra prajñāpāramitāśūnyatāyāḥ sa kaściddharma upalabhyate, yaścarati prajñāpāramitāyām? bhagavānāha-no hīdaṃ subhūte| āha-kiṃ punarbhagavan śūnyatā carati prajñāpāramitāyām? bhagavānāha-no hīdaṃ subhūte| āha-kiṃ punarbhagavan śūnyatāyāṃ sa kaściddharma upalabhyate yaścarati prajñāpāramitāyām? bhagavānāha-no hīdaṃ subhūte| āha-kiṃ punarbhagavan śūnyatā carati śūnyatāyām? bhagavānāha-no hīdaṃ subhūte| āha-kiṃ punarbhagavan rūpaṃ carati prajñāpāramitāyām? bhagavānāha-no hīdaṃ subhūte| āha-kiṃ punarbhagavan vedanā saṃjñā saṃskārāḥ, kiṃ punarbhagavan vijñānaṃ carati prajñāpāramitāyām? bhagavānāha-no hīdaṃ subhūte| āha-kiṃ punarbhagavan anyatra rūpātsa dharmaḥ kaścidupalabhyate, yaścarati prajñāpāramitāyām? bhagavānāha-no hīdaṃ subhūte| āha-kiṃ punarbhagavan anyatra vedanāyāḥ saṃjñāyāḥ saṃskārebhyaḥ, anyatra vijñānātsa dharmaḥ kaścidupalabhyate, yaścarati prajñāpāramitāyām? bhagavānāha-no hīdaṃ subhūte| subhūtirāha-kathaṃ punarbhagavan bodhisattvo mahāsattvaścarati prajñāpāramitāyām? evamukte-bhagavānāyuṣmantaṃ subhūtimetadavocat-kiṃ punaḥ subhūte samanupaśyasi tvaṃ taṃ dharmaṃ yaścarati prajñāpāramitāyām? subhūtirāha-no hīdaṃ bhagavan| bhagavānāha-samanupaśyasi tvaṃ subhūte tāṃ prajñāpāramitāṃ yatra prajñāpāramitāyāṃ bodhisattvo mahāsattvaścarati? āha-no hīdaṃ bhagavan| bhagavānāha-tatkiṃ manyase subhūte yo dharmo'nupalambhaḥ, taṃ dharmaṃ samanupaśyasi? api nu sa eva dharma utpanno vā utpatsyate vā utpadyate vā, niruddho vā nirotsyate vā nirudhyate vā? āha-no hīdaṃ bhagavan| bhagavānāha-evaṃ khalu subhūte bodhisattvasya mahāsattvasya anutpattikeṣu dharmeṣu kṣāntirevaṃrūpā bhavati| evaṃrūpayā ca subhūte kṣāntyā samanvāgato bodhisattvo mahāsattvo vyākriyate'nuttarāyāṃ samyaksaṃbodhau| iyaṃ subhūte tathāgatasya vaiśāradyapratipad yāṃ pratipadyamāno bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ evaṃ caran evaṃ ghaṭamānaḥ evaṃ vyāyacchamāno'nuttaraṃ buddhajñānaṃ sarvajñajñānaṃ mahāsārthavāhajñānaṃ nānuprāpsyatīti naitatsthānaṃ vidyate||



subhūtirāha-yā bhagavan sarvadharmāṇāmanutpattikadharmatā, sā vyākriyate'nuttarāyāṃ samyaksaṃbodhau? bhagavānāha-no hīdaṃ subhūte| subhūtirāha-kathamasyedānīṃ bhagavan dharmasya vyākaraṇaṃ bhavatyanuttarāyāṃ samyaksaṃbodhau? bhagavānāha-kiṃ punaḥ subhūte samanupaśyasi tvaṃ taṃ dharmaṃ yasya dharmasya vyākaraṇaṃ bhavatyanuttarāyāṃ samyaksaṃbodhau? subhūtirāha-no hīdaṃ bhagavan| nāhaṃ bhagavaṃstaṃ dharmaṃ samanupaśyāmi yo dharmo vyākṛto vyākariṣyate vyākriyate vā anuttarāyāṃ samyaksaṃbodhau| tamapyahaṃ bhagavan dharmaṃ na samanupaśyāmi, yo dharmo'bhisaṃbudhyate, yo dharmo'bhisaṃboddhavyaḥ, yena vā dharmeṇābhisaṃbudhyate| tatkasya hetoḥ? sarvadharmeṣu bhagavan anupalabhyamāneṣu na me evaṃ bhavati-ayaṃ dharmo'bhisaṃbudhyate, ayaṃ dharmo'bhisaṃboddhavyaḥ, anena vā dharmeṇābhisaṃbudhyate iti||



āryāṣṭasāhasrikāyāṃ prajñāpāramitāyāṃ kalyāṇamitraparivarto nāma dvāviṃśatitamaḥ||
